During a recent interview Petro Poroshenko has made a statement that in the history of Ukraine it is the first time that our country is carrying out all the requirements set forth by IMF. The President noted that such conclusion has been achieved not by Ukrainian specialists or representatives of the government of Ukraine, but by prominent foreign experts who work on monitoring the level of IMF program execution. According to the President, responsible cooperation with major financial establishments, including the European Investment Bank and the World Bank, ensures reforms implementation in Ukraine.
Moreover, Poroshenko mentioned that European creditors trust Ukraine and this can be illustrated by the fact that Ukraine continues to receive the funds from international creditors. This week Ukraine received 200 million euros from Germany and this money gives Ukraine an opportunity to purchase gas and provide energy security for upcoming winter months. Also, it is planned to use obtained funds to support the government reform efforts in Ukraine. What is more, according to Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner, Europe will allocate 90 million euros in support of decentralization.
