A two-day Forum, which has received a symbolic name 451° in a reference to a famous book “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury, has taken place in Lviv. More than 50 Ukrainian and foreign experts and more than 200 participants have visited the Forum. A variety of questions connected to e-governance in Ukraine have been raised during the Forum, including the issues of Open Data, e-education in schools and universities, e-medicine, financing of IT-projects in Ukraine, and many others. Representatives from Poland, Estonia and Sweden, which are leaders of e-governance implementation in the world, were among the speakers at Lviv forum.
A major topic discussed during E-governance Forum is the provision of various state services in Ukraine with the help of Internet. During the event, “Kyivstar” has presented Mobile ID – a system of e-verification, which allows using state services via The internet.
Andrii Sadovyi, the governor of Lviv, has stated during the Forum opening that IT-services comprise 7 % of world money, and he believes that this percentage will double in the next five years. According to Lviv governor, Ukraine has a great potential to become one of the leaders in IT-sphere, and these services may contribute to the elimination of corruption in the country.
