Odesa Financial Forum, recently held in Ukraine, has provided a necessary place for discussion between representatives of the Ukrainian government and investment experts. The forum, organized by the Financial Markets Association and “Ukrainian Stock Traders” Association, was supported by Odesa State Administration. The purpose of this Ukrainian event was creating a place to assess financial state of Ukraine as well as map out the prospects of reforms regarding the most important sector of the country’s economy.
Prominent figures who have participated in the forum include Mikheil Saakashvili, Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Geoffrey Pyatt, Ambassador of the USA to Ukraine, and others. Roman Waschuk, Ukraine Ambassador to Canada, emphasized on importance of practical measures in supporting Ukrainian economy and creating favorable environment for investments. Petro Poroshenko, Ukrainian President, has provided a video greeting for participants of the forum emphasizing importance of investments in both Ukrainian agro-industrial complex and enterprises of space and aviation industries. Another essential topic on the agenda mentioned by the President was modernization of oil and gas transportation system.
