This time of the year has been incredibly fruitful for the Ukrainian startup market. The first news of this autumn has become the purchase of Looksery startup by the very famous Snapchat for alleged $ 150 million. Now, the controlling block of shares of Ukrainian startup YouScan has been bought by the service of reviews and recommendations Yell.ru. The exact sum of this deal is not revealed, but it is known that Yell has invested $ 1 million into the development of YouScan, which is the Ukrainian service for social networks monitoring. The brand of the company will remain the same, and the original team will continue working on the project. What is more, at the moment YouScan are looking for new developers and sellers.
Yell.ru is a service of recommendations which covers the CIS market and has about 5 million unique visitors each month. At the moment, there are more than 700 000 reviews of approximately 2 million companies. Oleksiy Orap, CEO of YouScan, has stated that he is very glad to have a strategic investor, rather than a portfolio one. The investments are planned to be used in further development of the “smart” system of brand reputation monitoring within social networks.
